Dashboards.A clear viewfor your team.

A dashboard should help the team see what is happening and where to act. SIXIS builds views of relevant operational data with understandable indicators, useful filters and verifiable sources.

When the situation requires
rebuilt by hand.

A dashboard is useful if it answers recurring questions. Its shape depends on the people who use it and the decisions they have to make.

  1. Verification requires multiple reports.

A colleague opens files and applications to see work orders, deadlines and exceptions. The information is available, but combining it takes time, and the resulting situation is not easily consulted by others.

  2. Total does not show relevant cases.

The team sees the number of works or the value of the orders, but cannot identify what is awaiting a decision or what has exceeded the deadline. The filters and details that allow moving from a figure to a concrete verification are missing.

  3. The data shown appear more certain than they are.

It is not visible when the report was updated or where a pointer comes from. An unresponsive source produces a zero times an old value, and the team can make a decision without observing this limit.

Useful questions.
A view verifiable.

We design the dashboard around its use, with enough context to correctly interpret the results.

We can start with only one area of the company. The definition of indicators and the connection of new sources are clarified before promising a complete view.

The SIXIS collaboration model
  1. We choose users and questions.

We determine who consults the dashboard, how often and what they have to decide. We separate the big picture from checking individual cases. We choose the data that supports these questions and avoid graphics added just because the information can be displayed.

From you Persons who will use it and examples of recurring decisions.

  2. We validate indicators and sources.

We confirm the meaning of the figures, the period and the rules of calculation. We check where the data is and how often it can be updated. We determine the treatment of missing values and differences between sources before combining information into a single result.

From you Approved definitions and authorized access to required sources.

  3. We build the structure and the filters.

We choose the right order of information, representations and filters. We determine when access to a list of cases is required to verify a total. The form must remain legible and show the selected period, units and time of update.

From you The display priorities and level of detail allowed by each role.

  4. We implement and verify compliance.

We compare the figures shown with sources for known cases and periods. We test filters, update and no data situations. We check access and that a total can be explained. An unavailable source should be flagged, not hidden by an apparently normal result.

From you Cases of validation and confirmation of calculations by those in charge.

  5. We verify use and maintenance.

We monitor whether users find the information and understand its limitations. We adjust the view when a detail is missing or a graphic does not help. We determine who tracks updates and how changes to indicators, sources, or access rights are evaluated.

From you User feedback and responsible for data and updating.

Orders in progress.
What demands attention today.

A distributor wants a view of the orders to be prepared or delivered. The team needs to distinguish between stock outs, waiting for confirmation and actual delay.

The big picture has definitions.
The view shows orders from the selected period and area, by agreed states. An on-time order is not automatically grouped with a delayed one, and the unconfirmed information is visible separately.
Filters lead to cases to be verified.
The user can see the orders that are waiting for stock or a decision and can see the allowed details. The total is related to the list it comes from so the person in charge can determine what needs to be done.
The update is explicit.
Dashboard shows when it received data and if a source has not updated. The team does not interpret the absence of orders as evidence that there is no outstanding work when the necessary information is not available.

Questions about
the data displayed.

How do we choose the form and how do we check that the team can correctly interpret what they see.

How does it differ from Reporting & KPI?

Reporting defines what we track, how we calculate and when we discuss the results. The dashboard is a form of consulting that information, with filters and details suitable for users. We can work together on both, but a visual presentation is no substitute for correct definitions and sources.

Can you use data from multiple systems?

Yes, if we have authorized access and the information can be correctly associated. We check identifiers, definitions and update times. The connection of new sources is evaluated separately. Dates with different meanings or periods are not combined into a total without a validated rule.

Will the dashboard be updated in real time?

We establish the necessary and possible frequency for the sources used. Some dates change at the event, others are available periodically. The time of the update must be visible. We do not promise a permanently current view if the home systems cannot support this rate.

What do we do if we don't have indicators defined yet?

We begin by clarifying the questions and the meaning of the required figures. We define formulas and check sources before display. Sometimes a small set of indicators and better record keeping is the first step. A dashboard built directly from the available fields can produce wrong conclusions.

Can colleagues see only information relevant to their role?

We establish access levels and verify what the implementation can support. Some people may need totals, others detailed cases. Sensitive personal or business data is not automatically included in any view, and we do not assume that all users have the same rights.

Can we open cases behind a total?

Yes, if the source and rights allow, we can include a list or way to consult the details. We check that the filters and total use the same rules. The goal is for the user to be able to clarify the situation and identify the action required, not just look at a graph.

How do you display missing data or an unavailable source?

We distinguish them from null values and confirmed results. We can show the lack of update or the calculation limit as the case may be. Old information should not be presented as new. We also determine who receives the signal for remediation based on the importance of the data.

Is a complete firm-wide analysis system included?

We delineate the necessary users, questions, sources, and indicators. A dashboard for an area does not automatically assume all company analyses, history or integrations. The extension is evaluated after using the first view and after verifying the data, access and maintenance effort.

What situation do you want
to see from one place?

Tell us who needs the information and what they decide based on it. We can choose a useful view and check the sources that can support it.
